Business Development Representative

What you'll do

The business development representative plays a key role in the success of Planisware by contributing to the generation of new business leads and by qualifying leads by phone, email and other means. The business development representative will also assist in sales activities, working with the sales and channel management teams to increase the pipeline of sales opportunities.

As a business development representative you will:
  • Generate leads through outbound cold-calling and calling on marketing-generated and inbound leads
  • Conduct market research on specific industries, companies, and executives to ensure targeting of the right contacts within the right companies by leveraging social media and professional sites such as LinkedIn, Jigsaw, etc.
  • Optimize lead qualification for sales and ensure successful follow through of qualified leads
  • Create and own a lead nurturing strategy with specific programs to nurture and qualify the existing internal prospect database
  • Meet monthly and quarterly leads and revenue objectives
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Planisware’s product line and value proposition
  • Collaborate with Sales Executive team to implement sales strategies
  • Drive attendance for Marketing Events and Webinars
  • Conceptualize, define and execute a diverse range of marketing programs, including cold calling, telemarketing, webinars, events, email campaigns, website offers, social media, and content syndication
  • Plan and execute joint marketing programs with Planisware partners

What is expected from you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 0-3 years of experience in direct response marketing/lead generation for B2B software companies selling SaaS/Cloud applications
  • Discipline to maintain high call volumes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening skills
  • Ability to lead conversations and ask open ended questions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic

Preferred Profile

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and Marketo
  • Experience within the Project and Portfolio Management software industry
