What You'll Do:
- Translate software interfaces, technical documents, manuals, from the source language [English] to the target language [Japanese].
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of translated materials, performing quality control checks on completed translations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers to understand technical content and provide accurate translations.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Conduct terminology research to ensure consistency and accuracy in translated materials.
- Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure grammatical correctness and linguistic quality.
- Communicate any challenges or revisions needed to the project team, offering suggestions for improvement.
- Translation from the [Japanese] to the [English] are not the priority but may be requested occasionally
- Other ad-hoc activities not written above related to the position may be requested occasionally as, as a company, we encourage flexible mindset.
What We Expect From You:
- Fluency in at least two languages, including English and Japanese.
- Proven experience in technical translation, preferably in the Information Technology and Services industry.
- Strong knowledge of software programs and terminology used in the IT industry
- Knowledge of the project management domain, of the PMBOK will be required/need to be acquired to fulfill execute the tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high translation standards.
- Proficiency in using translation tools and softwares (CAT tools)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
